Attendance Policy
Missing Training Hours:
We require 100% attendance to graduate and receive a certificate of completion from our program. Credit will not be given for partial attendance. Class attendance will be taken throughout the training. In the case of any emergency absences, please notify the program administrator immediately.
However, we understand that sometimes conflicts come up, which is why we have developed this make-up policy. Please note the maximum amount of time you can miss is 33 hours (2 full weekends), and you have one year from the last day of your program to complete your attendance requirements. If you miss more than 33 hours or do not complete your make-up hours within one year, you will need to retake the program at a discounted rate, subject to space availability.
Class Make-Up Procedure
Make-Up Option 1: Schedule a private session with a member of the teaching faculty at some point during the program. The private sessions are $100/hour, paid directly to your trainer.
1-hour private = 1-4 hours of missed time
1.5-hour private = 5-6 hours of missed time
2-hour private = 7-8 hours of missed time
2.5-hour private = 9-10 hours of missed time
3-hour private = 11-12 hours of missed time
Please note: Private instruction sessions are subject to trainer availability. Privates are only an option during your current training and are not an option once the program is complete.
Make-Up Option 2: You can attend the days you missed in an upcoming training of the same format, free of charge. You have one year from your program end date to complete your make-ups. If the training is sold out, you will need to wait for a future training with space available to complete your make-up.
If you miss more than 33 hours: You will need to retake the program, at a discounted price (subject to availability).
Tardiness:
Each student is expected to be at each session 10 minutes before the start time in order to set up and so that the training may start on time. If the student is late more than 4 times, this will result in a deduction of 1 hour from their total hours.
Withdrawal Policy:
If a student wishes to withdraw from our program for any reason, they must first contact the
program administrator via email at school@holayogastudio.com to discuss their reasons for withdrawal. A leave of absence from the program will be granted due to medical disability or other extraordinary circumstances at the discretion of the program administrator. In this case our refund policy will apply to unused tuition and the student must reapply for the next available session and pay the difference, if any, of any remaining tuition and/or any related administrative fees. If tuition is increased for the next available session, the student must pay the higher rate.
Termination from Program:
The program may decide to terminate any student’s participation in the program if: (1) false
information was used in the admission process that materially affects the program; (2) a student
missed more than 33 hours; (3) a student missed any subject category and did not make it up; (4) a student is absent for more than two consecutive days without contacting the program administrator; (5) the student fails to make timely payments of tuition; or (6) the student is unable to pass a test after being given two attempts. If the program decides to end the student’s participation in the program, the student is not entitled to any prior payments or fees. All prior payments and fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Termination from Program: Bad Conduct
No refunds will be given if the program removes a student from the program for bad conduct.
Bad conduct is violation of the Code of Conduct, gossip, harassment, bullying, or any other
behavior that is inappropriate or disruptive to the welfare of the program or to fellow students.
